Recorder Lessons
The recorder is the perfect first instrument. Though small and inexpensive, it is a musical instrument like any other, and an excellent one to introduce to children in their early musical lives. Studying recorder is a great way for younger students, ages 5 - 7, to be successful in learning the basics of music theory, music reading, ear training and rhythm. These skills can then be transferred to the flute or whatever instrument the student chooses. I also teach recorder to students who want to learn it who are older than 7. Recorder lessons can be one-on-one, but I also have great success teaching pairs. Tuition is $35 for a half an hour lesson for children ages 5-7. Pairs lessons are $20 per student. The tuition for older recorder students is $40 for 45. minutes.
